Roger Federer, the world’s number one tennis player, came up trumps in the final match of the Gerry Weber Open against Philipp Kohlschreiber virtue of a 6-3, 6-4 win and thereby won his 55th title of his career. Another amazing thing about this great tennis player is that his command over grass courts are so immaculate that he has so far won 59 consecutive games on grass. Federer was happy to clinch the tournament after a disappointing final defeat at the French Open by clay court king Rafael Nadal. Federer hopes to carry this form into the Wimbledon Championships and fans who had bought tickets in advance for the Wimbledon Championships will be in for some superlative performances by this great player.
