The feud between India’s top doubles duo has still not subsided, but the All India Tennis Association (AITA) has announced that both Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi will be representing India in the men’s doubles tennis tournament at the Beijing Olympics. Mahesh has openly stated that he was tired of waiting for a long time to prepare for the Olympic Games and preferred to play with Rohan Bopanna instead of Paes. But, AITA General Secretary, Anil Khanna, has said that India’s hopes of winning a gold medal at the Beijing Olympics lies only in the hands of the former World number one pair of Paes and Mahesh and that he would convince Bhupathi to change his mind from the current stand.
