Serena Williams must be feeling good. Her performance at the U.S. Open against Jelena Jakovic was astounding. Furthermore, Serena Williams’ performance has brought her back into the spotlight. Serena is now ranked as the number one player in women’s tennis. Other players have overshadowed Serena the last five years, but she has made a wonderful comeback. All the hard work and dedication has paid off. In addition to her number one ranking, Serena Williams is also the U.S. Open women’s champion. 

The Davis Cup will be in Argentina this year. As such, Argentina will be able to pick what courts it would like to use during play. This can either make or break a match. For instance, Rafael prefers and excels on the clay court. But to gain advantage, Argentina may choose to use a a hard court but with a grass surface. Whatever the court, players will have to adjust their play to win their respective matches.

Rafael Nadal played an amazing set to help Spain get a seat at the Davis Cup. The competition was quite fierce and Nadal was able to win it nonetheless. From start to finish, Nadal kept the crowds cheering with his wonderful performance. Nadal felt looked and felt comfortable on the clay court. It seemed as Nadal’s opponents were trying to find weak spots in Nadal play, but their efforts turned futile. Serve after serve, Nadal steadily and confidently won each set. 

I can’t wait to travel to Atlanta for the second annual Infinite Energy Atlanta Slam. This year will feature more great names from the world of tennis.
